Talk Title: Evaluation of subjective well-being under different environmental conditions

Betty Wutzl
Specially Appointed Assistant Professor

Host PI: Kenji Leibnitz

Abstract:
Subjective well-being (SWB) is a measure that can be influenced by our environment. We investigate the relationship between SWB and objective EEG measures. In an experiment, environmental conditions, i.e., temperature and humidity, were changed and EEG was recorded for 30 subjects. In my talk, I will present the experiment and first analyses, including frontal alpha asymmetry, classification using neural networks, regression per subject and neuroscientific preprocessing techniques for our problem. In the end, I will give an outlook on future analyses and planned experiments.
