Abstract:
In this talk, I introduce three hyper-scanning MEG studies that aim to deepen our understanding of child-mother interactions. The first paper discusses the design of a hyper-scanning MEG system that was specifically built to study social interactions between children and their mothers. The second paper explores how children with autism spectrum disorder process visual information when looking at their mothers’ faces. Finally, the third paper examines the synchronization that occurs during turn-taking verbal interactions between mothers and children. These studies have the potential to provide valuable insights not only into human-human interactions, but also into interactions between humans and robots. Overall, this research has significant implications for our understanding of social development and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
