In brain imaging, QSM is used not only to enrich anatomical neuroimaging \u2013 principally via the assessment of tissue iron content and myelination \u2013 but also to support functional neuroimaging (fMRI) by providing a measure of varying magnetic properties of hemoglobin in response to neuronal activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This seminar will guide the attendees from basic, conventional MRI based on Gradient-Recalled Echo (GRE), through all the aspects that enable improved qualitative susceptibility weighted imaging and quantitative susceptibility mapping in the brain.
